Our youth group meets at 4:30pm every Sunday in the downstairs Fellowship Hall. The mission of Charlotte-Fagan UMC’s youth is grow in love of God and of neighbor by studying the Bible together, serving the church and community, and attending events designed for spiritual education and growth. Here are some of our favorite events:
Dinner and Devo: our bi-monthly gathering with the church for a meal and a youth-led devotional program where we explore what God is doing in the life of teens and young people.
Coffeehouse: musically-minded members of the congregation and the community come together to put on a musical performance as a Friday night alternative for folks to spend time together, have coffee and snacks, and listen to live music.
Warmth in Winter: every year, we attend the Tennessee Conference Young People’s Ministry event for youth groups. Thousands of young people in over one hundred churches come together for a weekend of worship, workshops, and fellowship with others. Click the link for more information.
Cedar Crest Camp: our conference camping retreat center is only a half hour away in Lyles, TN. Cedar Crest offers programs throughout the year, and many of our kids choose to attend their summer camp program. We firmly believe in the power of camping ministry in the lives of our children and youth. Nature is so much better in person than in Instagram.
Charlotte-Fagan UMC is committed to safe and healthy communities of growth, therefore, our volunteer and paid staff undergo background checks and abide by a Safe Sanctuaries policy.
