Our youth group meets at 5:30pm on Wednesdays in the Fellowship Hall. The mission of Charlotte-Fagan UMC’s youth is grow in love of God and of neighbor by studying the Bible together, serving the church and community, and attending events designed for spiritual education and growth.
Warmth in Winter: every year, we attend the Tennessee Conference’s event for youth groups called Warmth in Winter. Thousands of young people in over one hundred churches come together for a weekend of worship, workshops, and fellowship with others. Click the link for more information.
Wednesday Morning Bible Study
Please join us on Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. for a weekly Bible study. You can come and listen or join in on the conversation as you are comfortable. This is a no-pressure environment to study and learn about Scripture’s meaning, history, and background.
Our Sanctuary Choir meets Sunday evenings at 5 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The choir practices hymns for the week as well as practices special music used in Sunday morning worship.
We plant a garden of donated vegetables for the benefit of our community. Volunteers come by to pick produce for anyone who would like to pick them up or you can go out and pick yourself. Charlotte-Fagan wants to invite community members to enjoy our space as their space!
Heart-to-Heart Women’s Group
The women’s group is led by a group of volunteers in the church who want to offer women in our community a place to belong and build community with others. Activities are scheduled every month.
In addition to Sunday School and Children’s Church, we have other opportunities for our children to learn more about the church and God. Below are just some of the opportunities we have to offer:
Vacation Bible School: every summer, we transform the church into a space where kids can dance, sing, play, and learn about who God is and what God does in their lives. We would love for you to bring your children and their friends to learn about God’s love for the whole world.
Cedar Crest: Our conference camping retreat center is only a half hour away in Lyles, TN. Cedar Crest offers programs throughout the year, and many of our kids choose to attend their summer camp program.
We also host annual Easter Egg Hunt and Trunk r Treat events!
We partner with the Boy Scouts of America to support Boy Scout Troop 641. Scoutmaster Greg and our parents are great leaders in bringing up new generations of young men in Christian service.
Charlotte-Fagan UMC is committed to safe and healthy communities of growth; therefore, our volunteer and paid staff undergo background checks and abide by a Safe Sanctuaries policy.
